It’s been a while. Whoops! I took a break from blogging for a bit. But here I am sitting at my desk writing. Yay! I was just reading a book and was thinking of all the reasons that I love books and how I have not posted for a long time. So here you go.
I have been home schooled my whole life and ever since I can remember our family had filled book shelves all the time. My mom read to us and we listened to book on tapes or audio books (what ever you want to call them). And it wasn’t bad books. I mean it was really good books. Like Narnia, Wrinkle in Time, Chi ti Chi ti Bang Bang, etc. That is where it all
blousumed blousemed blossomed (still can’t spell though).
Things I Love (and hate) About Books:
Smell//Just the smell of a old book is yummy. 🙂 I love it.
Pictures//I used to love books with pictures. Not anymore. Pictures ruin everything. Just when you have a character pictured in your mind and you starting to really get into the book AND THEN *BLAM* there is a picture. And now for the rest of them book you are comparing your imagined image of the character and the picture. Ugh.
Imagination//I think that imagination is a big thing in reading books. Since I am a visual person I always picture things in my head. You should try it sometimes.
Favorite Book//I don’t know if I could pick a favorite book. The Bible? Does that count. I guess. But other than that. I have not found my favorite book. Some day it will come.
Covers//Not the flimsy cheap covers. I mean the nice hard bound pretty covers. I love them. 🙂
Worlds//Books with different worlds always fascinate me. They are so interesting and fun to read.
Names//Authors always come up with cool names. Like Lucinda or Igiby or Tink. There are also names that will never be the same to me like Anne and Diana(from Anne Of Green Gables). It will always be dreamy and sweet.
Book Stores//Though this is not really a trait of a book, it is a favorite of mine. When you walk into them the smell and the long rows of books. It is a wonderful place.
I hope you enjoyed that. I did. ♥
What are your favorite things about books? Do you have a favorite book?
Hey there peoples,
I’ve miss y’all. I am working on many things and have been very busy. One of those things is this wonderful Bible study I am doing.
The name of it is S.O.A.P. It stands for Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer.
Scripture- I am working through Psalms write now. So what ever verses stands out to me I will write down in my as my scripture. It could be a whole chapter or just one verse. I would suggest to work through a book of the Bible that you want to study.
Observation- Think about what stands out to you in the scripture. Write it down. Also think about what is the context of the verse.
Application- Write down how you could apply the scripture to your life.
Prayer- Write down your prayer. You can pray about applying it to your life or just about anything.
This is a very broad Bible study. (I think that is why I like is so much.) 🙂 You can study and scripture and look at in many different ways.
I got all of my info from here. I do not take any credit it is not my creation.
For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing even to the point of dividing soul from spirit, and joints from marrow; it is able to judge the desires and thoughts of the heart.
Thanks for reading,
I have no more tears.
I look to God and I find my strength there
I am not afraid
I am not worried
I have Jesus
What do you have?
The world will not always be here
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes
He will wipe away your tears
He will restore you and put hope in you
He will make you a new
I have no more tears.
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.
The Little Things:
- Sunny days
- Reading by a window
- Spending time with family
- See my grandparents smile (a lot)
- Looking at old pictures of friends
- Writing down prayers
- Playing with my dog
- Eating Swedish Fish with siblings
- Having friends that encourage me in the Lord
- Being able to get into deep conversations
- Saying goodnight to my parents
- Talking to a friend that lives 1,698 miles away(sad but sweet that I can talk to her)
- Seeing my parents reading the Word together
- Looking back at prayers that were answered
- Writing letters
- Twinkle lights
- Playing my guitar
We tend to push off the little things away and focus on the big things. But when was the last time you took a step back and look at all the little things. Also, God does not always move in big ways.
I have learned to love the little things. Have you?
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
This month has been wonderful, hard, beautiful, sad, but yet all together a blessing. Yes, all in one month.
My \the normal long school weeks that full long months. Then on the 24th I had my birthday. I also invited 10 girls over that Saturday. Take note I do not like big parties. But it turned out to be really awesome. I was mostly playing games and eating pizza, ice cream, and cookies. Lost of laughs and giggles.
I was given so much I mean sooooooo much. I felt so privileged. We are all so privileged. 80% of the world’s population lives on $10 a day! That wouldn’t even get you a house or food for a day. And there are people worse of. About 3 billion live with only $2.50 a day! But most importantly 66.49% of the world clams not to be a christian. Which means 33.51% clams to be christians but that does not mean that all of them are saved. (wow that was a lot of math stuff). So I decided to make a donation to Samaritan’s Purse. I had my doubts at first on donating money and not being able to see it put to use. But God put me at peace and let me to donate. No. I am not sponsored. I am writing this out of my heart and my heart alone. So with that being said. Would you donate?? There are many things that you can donate. You can pick where your money is going or you can give where it is most needed. I chose to donate a Bible. You can donate here.
But do remember that money is not all that matters. Prayer is very very important. Praying for our brothers and sisters serving or those who are not saved. Prayer is fighting satan and building the church. So pray. Pray for everything.
I am sick now but otherwise my week and month has gone great. There has been hardships but God is good and He is the one that helps me over them.
Love Y’all and thanks for reading,
Will you donate?
What did or are going to do for your birthday this year?
I cry when I think of people
I cry when I think of the lost
I cry when I can not pray for those who live no longer,
There are so many that turn their faces away from the Light
They see only the world
They are too scared to think about what will happen to them if they die
So they ignore it
I cry for those who push away Christ.
I cry because they will never know the true glory of Christ
I cry because they were so unwelcoming to Him
This may be a little dramatic. But I do have a hurt for those who are dead and they rejected Christ.
Though we can not go back and it was their decision it still hurts.
Who do you cry for?
